From the venerable team at Bath Flash Fiction, the 2018 anthology is comprised of 133 very short fictions—all under 300 words—which either won or were short- or long-listed from the three rounds of the 2018 International Bath Flash Fiction Awards. The anthology represents authors from over twenty countries. Things Left and Found by the Side of the Road is available print-only, and can be ordered here.

I’m very pleased that one of my Chuck stories, “Gatsbyesque,” made it in! Here are the judge’s comments.
“Writers flowed but did not meander. I went to places I haven’t been before, and I was shown ordinary objects in a different light, heard language used in a new way, smelled new smells, felt new feelings.”
Tara L. Masih, novelist, short story writer, editor of The Rose Metal Press Field Guide to Writing Flash Fiction, author of My Real Name Is Hanna“A fascinating dip into the psyche of creative writers at this point in time… lots of examples of great writing here, by great writers.”
David Gaffney, novelist and short story writer. Author of More Sawn-Off Tales, All The Places I’ve Ever Lived, The Three Rooms in Valerie’s Head“The standard was high… powerful writing and interesting themes… a feeling that many writers were working hard and pulling from deep resources.”
Nuala O’Connor, novelist, poet and short story writer. Author of Joy Ride to Jupiter, Miss Emily and Becoming Belle
Having a story in print is a wonderful close to 2018. I have but two more 2018 publications on deck, a book review, that will publish in early January 2019, and a short fiction scheduled for the spring. Given today’s announcement by Tin House Magazine, it’s certainly becoming more and more precious to see one’s work in print. I know I purchase literary subscriptions and small press books, and I encourage everyone to do the same if there is time and means to do so.
The anthology is available only through Ad Hoc Fiction. It features many of the brightest names in flash, including my friends Adam Locke, Leonora Desar, Frankie McMillan, Lynn Mundell, Christina Dalcher, and so many other writers I admire. Orders can be placed here:
