I love the monthly prompts at Visual Verse.  This one gave me the opportunity to be epistolary — the water in the background of this exquisite print and the two women in conversation got me working out a scene in my novel a little bit.  A small exchange of letters, a greeting in a foreign land.

My novel is not set in Syria, I used the prompt to stretch in another direction.
